Amy is a true friend & wonderful host

I was a guest on this podcast and the reason I wanted to be was because of months of hearing her voice and coming to trust her. I can say that “meeting” her through recording (then real meeting a few months later), who she is on these episodes is who she is in person: warm, patient, gracious, wise, trustworthy, full of integrity, and empathetic. Love this podcast because of her.

The first of many

This podcast was my gateway into recognizing my experience as abusive. My counselor gave the illustration of my healing as a ball of yarn and taking one strand of yarn out at a time and deciding if it was helpful or toxic. That is when I found this podcast. It made me feel seen. Thank you for your work and keeping on keeping on even when the road is messy!

This podcast covers such needed topics. For anyone who has experienced pain at the hands of believers/spiritual leaders, the wisdom and grace shared here is incredibly affirming and healing. This isn't driven by anger, but by compassion and a deep desire for wholeness. So worth your time!

This is a compelling podcast that tells hard stories with compassion and nuance. I think people people who are newly disillusioned with Evangelical churches and culture after having previously being immersed in it will find thus podcast especially helpful and relatable.

Soothing to the soul!

I am so grateful for podcasts that are elevating the voices of women that churches have worked so hard to silence! The Evangelical church has produced scores of angry men spewing hate against anyone that doesn’t think, feel, act or believe just like them. Amy presents a balanced perspective in a way that doesn’t feel like a bunch of angry finger pointing, but a measured, rational, questioning approach to navigating matters of faith.

Love this Podcast

I love every single episode! So much good information and helpful insights and perspectives. Makes me think and consider all sides on subjects I was previously narrow-minded on, causing growth in faith and compassion. Amy is amazing and I appreciate all her hard work!

Very good

Need to look at other churches and their NDA’s and you cannot say anything about them. One of the largest churches in America with multiple sites does this regularly.

Binging All the Episodes

I just found this podcast yesterday and I have binged almost all of the episodes. I’m learning so much. I love all the new resources I’m learning about as well. Spiritual abuse is much too common and this is a great resource to learn how to discern if you are experiencing it in your life.

I Can’t Recommend Enough

I am constantly telling people about this podcast. I found it at a time when I was very disillusioned with a certain financial organization and it was mind blowing to hear their story. The focus on untangling faith and dealing with Spiritual Abuse in all areas is also fantastic. Much needed voice.

There aren’t enough stars!!

I came across Untangled Faith a few months ago while searching for a podcast on spiritual abuse. I was in a very low season with very little support. I binged on this podcast and Amy (and some of the regulars!) became a part of my support system. 😃 I wholeheartedly believe that the Lord led me to this podcast and it has played a major role in leading me to the path of healing. Seriously, there are not enough stars to rate how incredible this podcast is!!

Love love love this podcast

I started listening to this podcast when Amy and her husband shared their Ramsey Solutions story. Their courage and strength are absolutely inspiring. As a Christian cult survivor in the middle of processing my experience, this podcast has been an invaluable guiding light. I so appreciate the title and purpose of this podcast — untangling our faith from all that is not good and true. Amy helps us do exactly that. Finally a place to learn and understand

This podcast come to me at a time where my heart longs for fellowship in a church but the thought of it provokes anxiety. I’m only 11 episodes in but I’m learning a lot and have found many resources. I commend the brave hearts who have joined this podcast to share their stories. It is helping those of us just coming to the realization that we were abused, come to terms with it and learn to heal. I don’t feel so alone anymore

My husband and I recently left a church plant for many of the reasons discussed in several episodes of this podcast. It has been lonely, isolating, painful and heart wrenching. Finding this podcast has been a balm. I’m almost caught up on all previous episodes! So often while listening, I verbally agree aloud with things that are mentioned and talked about. Thank you for telling your story and allowing others to tell theirs… It’s been so healing to not feel alone and to know we’re in the company of faithful followers of Jesus. Maybe one day we can tell our story too. Thank you again! 🤍

One of the best podcasts out there

Such compelling interviews. The series about Dave Ramsey really shines a light on an organization that is led by an immoral leader who gets away with horrible and unethical behavior because he says he's a strong Christian. Must listen to podcast. Amy injects thoughtfullness, intelligence and humor to touch subjects.

Brave Women — Keep up the Good Work!

This podcast sheds some light on the issues of power in our day. Many people, especially “Christians” want to dismiss the ways that power affect our culture and lives. More than that, many Christians want to dismiss the way of Jesus, the way of downward mobility, sacrifice, humility, and love—The way that ultimately led to his death. We don’t want to follow that kind of Savior. Amy and those on the podcast DO want to follow that kind of Savior.And sometimes when we follow Jesus, we have to call out things that are hurtful or untrue or worse. Jesus did this plenty. Thank you for being brave and for helping us all to process church (and church adjacent) hurt. May the Lord continue to lead us into safe and healing spaces. This is one of those spaces.
